Im pretty disappointed in it, I feel sad that we won't be meeting weekly anymore. But all good things must come to an end right? Its time for summer to come, and I'm okay with that:)
Next week we are going to bring some goodies to the intern, and have a mini little party and still finish the jewelry that they have been diligently making.
Last week we had over 6 people come in!! Yup thats right! 8 if you include Sam and I. It was great, everyone really loves the beads and want more:)
Here are some of the finished ones:

Last few weeks!:(
The Franciscan center has really been great to us. The people there are always so kind too, and they always greet us and smile and check in on us.
So this week we once again brought in pastels and beads. I feel bad because I feel like all we are doing is beads and making necklaces-but I promise you, every time we have that-we get more visiters! Or so it seems. Everyone just seems to love them-they are such a hit!!
We had John working on his necklace with much focus, we had Sylvia sewing and making earings, we had another man coming in to make a bracelete out of wire (very successful might I add), we had another woman coming in to make 2 braceletes that she was going to give her friends, another lady that made just a beautiful necklace (see below), and a young boy that decided he wanted to draw! We had a full room ! Its so exciting to have so many people, I love talking to them-though it does get to be a lot when they all talk at the same time and need your help. Still fun though meeting new faces and seeing them light up when they get to work with these materials. Heck I enjoy working with the materials too!
Only a few weeks left to go...

This week and last
So last week we didn't exactly decorate the frames-they choose instead to learn how to knit! Luckily, two people in the class already knew how to knit, so we just tried to teach Sam. I think she got the hang of it, seeing as how this week she came in with a crocheted scarf half done!
This week, Silvia brought in more of her yarn supplies, and chose to crochet in class all day. She is wonderful at crafts! She has more patience and drive than almost anyone when she is passionate about something.
She also brought in a few puzzles for us to all work on! I got to work on one of the 3-D puzzles, until I handed it over to John as he took out a new bag of broken jewelry he found lying around that week. I helped him turn a broken necklace into a very beautiful and functioning one.
A new woman came into class this week and was so excited and happy to paint. She kept telling us how thankful she was that she knew about the Franciscan center:) She really was a very kind woman, so we let her take home a small pallet of watercolor paints and a new paintbrush.
Then another man that came in a few weeks ago, arrived again today. He asked to finish his drawing that he had started prior.
We even had our youngest visitor come in today! A little boy came running in with his father as they were waiting outside of the room for something, and I gave the little boy a paintbrush and some paint, and he was yelping happily to put the brush to the paper! His father was very supportive of him too, and encouraged him as well, praising him when he got a big streak down on the paper.
The people there are all good people. I am really starting to like this place an awful lot. I wish I got to know all of the people there, they all have their individual stories. Beautiful.

4th Week
Last week we brought in more beads and wire to finish our necklaces with our beads made out of clay and beads we brought in.
This time we had an average of only 2 people, one guy decided he wanted to draw while the other worked on his necklaces.
He was so excited to work on these necklaces that he brought in little pieces of jewelry that he found laying around his house and on the sidewalks. So we worked with him to make these broken pieces into useful pendents.
The other man who was drawing chose to draw the birds and the buildings outside. He is such an excellent drawer too! so passionate!
Next week we are going to work on making frames that they can decorate and put their work in. We are hoping to get more people to join art class tomorrow! We will also be settling which pieces will go in April 15's show or not.
